Cadwell Park Double Header Cancelled
Posted: March 6, 2021 12:48 PM
We are saddened to announce that Rounds Two and Three of the 2020-21 MSN Circuit Rally Championship in a/w MSVR Racing, featuring the Michelin Cup and Protyre Challenge; Alan Healy Memorial Cadwell Park Stages and the Cirrus Research Stages Rally have both been unfortunately cancelled.
The decision comes in after discussions between the event organising teams, Championship stakeholders and Motorsport UK surrounding the UK Government’s roadmap out of lockdown and the restart of motorsport.
The Championship is understandably disappointed by the decision, but due to the ever-changing situation we have regrettably had to take this decision.
However, the Championship organising team remains committed to finishing the 2020-21 season. Discussions with stakeholders will continue in an attempt to re-arrange the Cadwell Park dates, and ensure that the remaining rounds of the Championship run. A bulletin will be issued to competitors in due course.
As as result of the cancellation, the Championship will aim to restart at the end of April, with two visits to Anglesey firstly for the SMC Stages and then then for the Lee Holland Stages, which has been re-arranged from its early March date. The Championship will then head to Snetterton and Oulton Park. Dates for these final two rounds will be confirmed shortly.
We hope you all understand.

"In light of the announcement made by the UK Government regarding the England wide lockdown, both Bolton-Le-Moors Car Club and Motorsport Vision Racing have made the very difficult decision to postpone the Cirrus Research Stages, due to take place at Cadwell Park on 21st November.
We are all understandably disappointed at having to make this decision, but given the changes in the situation, we are left with no other option.
We wish to thank everyone who committed to the event, especially the many people who have given up hundreds of hours already in organising.
We thank you for understanding."

CADWELL PARK STAGES TO GO AHEAD
Posted: October 13, 2020 5:51 AM
Following on from the announcement that North Humberside Motor Club have stepped away from organising the 2020 NHMC Cadwell Park Stages, Bolton Le-Moors Car Club, the MSN Circuit Rally Championship and MotorSport Vision Racing (MSVR) are delighted to announce that the event will proceed as intended.
Organisation of the event will now be undertaken by Bolton-Le-Moors Car Club, and working with MSVR will ensure the event continues to tun, in full compliance with COVID-19 secure guidelines from both the UK Government and Motorsport UK.
One of the headline events of the Cadwell Park calendar, the 2020 Cadwell Park Stage Rally will take on 22 November and will once again feature as the second round of the MSN Circuit Rally Championship and include a superb firework display.
Bolton-Le-Moors Car Club, the MSN Circuit Rally Championship, and MSVR are extremely grateful to North Humberside Motor Club for their efforts in previous years and will look to build upon the success they have helped achieve.
NHMC withdraws from organising NHMC Cadwell Stages for 2020

North Humberside Motor Club Ltd statement issued at 20:00 on 24th September 2020:
After considerable soul searching, North Humberside Motor Club Ltd have decided not to continue with the organisation of this year's NHMC Cadwell Stages Rally which was scheduled for Sunday 22nd November 2020.
We believe that COVID-19 cases are rising. The Prime Minister's statement on Tuesday leaves us more uncertain as to what the position in late November will be. Whilst expert scientific opinion still differs, it has been suggested that a full UK lockdown may be required; this further increases our uncertainty for the event.
We have already cancelled the NHMC Warcop Stages earlier this year when the lockdown started and we lost a significant amount of money on that event.
A combination of loss of some sponsorship and unavailability of some of our key organisers also has an impact on the organisation of the event.
Most of our organising team are over 60 and several are in high risk groups.
Looking forward to 2021, circumstances permitting, NHMC Ltd plans to run three single venue special stage rallies: the NHMC Warcop Stages on the Warcop Military Training Area in Cumbria on Easter Sunday (4th April), the John Overend Memorial Stages Rally at Melbourne airfield on 30th May, and the NHMC Cadwell Stages Rally at Cadwell Park on 21st November.
