Rally Cancelled

It is with great regret that the Imokilly Motor Club (IMC) has postponed its Imokilly Mini Stages Rally (19th July) 2020 to 2021
Realistically the writing was on the wall that our event would have to be cancelled for the last few weeks but now that Motorsport Ireland our governing body reacting to government guidelines have stated Rally events will not be considered until after the 10th August 2020 as they fall under Phase 5 of the guidelines.
We at the IMC fully agree with the decision of Motorsport Ireland our health and our country is what is important at this trying time.
Tony O Driscoll club chairman said we are gutted to see the event has to be cancelled and our Clerk Of The Course Pat Maguire had put a lot of work into the event but the time is not right , we must take a break to save Motorsport in Ireland our country and our most precious possession our health.
To our friends the marshals and officials who have helped us over the years, to the competitors who have come from all parts of the country and beyond, our sponsors and the people on the stages who let us rally the roads of East Cork thank you for your continued support of our event .
At this time it is up to everyone to play our role in contributing to Ireland’s recovery so look after yourselves and each other and we will see ye all in 2021 for the IMC Mini Stages Rally.
