The much anticipated Lagoon Bar and Restaurant Mini Stages Rally is all set to go this Saturday the 25th of January. There is an excellent field of over 80 cars and crews.
The event will be centred in the Termon area at the Lagoon Bar and Restaurant, where the headquarters and service area will be situated. Food will be served all day in the bar and restaurant.
The rally consists of two alternating stages that will run three times. The first stage starts from above Termon/ Lough Salt and ends almost in Milford. The road closes at 9:30 and the first car is due at 10:48. The second stage starts just below Lough Fern and ends in Ellistrin. This road closes at 10:10 with the first car due at 11:23. Both of these stages will run three times throughout the afternoon. The finishing ramp will be at the Lagoon Bar & Restaurant and the winning car and crew are expected there at 15:57.
All of the stage times and details are featured in the Rally Programme which is on sale now in numerous outlets around the county.
Donegal Motor Club has the safety of spectators and competitors as its number one priority and everyone attending the event is asked to cooperate with the marshals and officials.
The Event is the first round of the Donegal Commercials Club Championship.

Preparations are well underway for the up-coming Lagoon Bar and Restaurant Mini Stages Rally on the 25th of January. There is an excellent field so far but crews are reminded that entries close on the 15th January.
As an incentive for all competitors that are fully paid up by the closing date, they will be entered in a draw for a free entry to the event
The event will be centred in the Termon area at the Lagoon Bar and Restaurant, where the headquarters and service area will be situated. Food will be served all day in the bar and restaurant making it an excellent base for accessing the rally stages which are situated around the Termon area.
All of the stage times and details will be featured in the Rally Programme which will go on sale on the 18th in numerous outlets around the county.
Donegal Motor Club has the safety of spectators and competitors as its number one priority and everyone attending the event is asked to cooperate with the marshals and officials.
As always, we need marshals and anyone willing to help to make the event a success and safe.

A press conference will formally launch the event on the 16th of January in the Lagoon Bar and Restaurant in Termon at 8:00 PM.

The Donegal Motor Club is pleased to announce that the Regulations and Entry Form are now available for the
up-coming Lagoon Bar and Restaurant Mini Stages Rally.
This is the first event of the year and it is expected to draw a good entry with the lure of the Donegal Hills
As an incentive for all competitors, that are fully paid up by the closing date, they will be entered in a draw for a free entry to the event
Clerk of the Course Johnny Baird said:
"We are expecting a good interest in the rally as it’s the first event of 2020.
I urge competitors to get their entry in early, and the added bonus of the free entry will be a late Christmas present for one lucky crew"

Donegal Motor Club is proud to announce that the Lagoon Bar and Restaurant
Termon is the Main sponsor and host of the rescheduled 2020 Donegal Mini Stages Rally.
The event will now take place on Saturday 25th January 2020.
Clerk of the Course for the event is well known competitor Johnny Baird, and he said:
“We have 90k in total stages with a good mix of fast-flowing, tricky, technical stages.
The event itself will be competitor friendly with the first car leaving at 10:15 and first car due back at the finishing ramp at the Lagoon at 15:45”
“I’d like to thank all in the Lagoon in Termon, Donegal Co Co, an Garda Siochána and emergency services for their hard work and help with the rally”

"The Donegal Motor Club has decided to postpone the Lagoon Donegal Mini Stages Rally that was planned for the
10th August 2019.
This decision was reached as a mark of respect to Manus Kelly’s family, friends and the many people deeply
saddened by the recent tragedy.
Johnny Baird and his team would like to take this opportunity to thank Motor Sport Ireland, Donegal County Council,
An Garda Siochana, the Lagoon Bar and Restaurant, the competitors and all those involved in organising the event.
It is hoped to have the event rescheduled for a date early in 2020."
