Keith Frecker Memorial Stages 2017 CANCELLED - Statement from the organisers

The BSSMC Committee have decided that regrettably they have no option but to cancel the Keith Frecker Memorial Stages rally planned for June 11th at Weeton Army camp.

A review of the venue was completed several weeks ago and this identified a requirement for a series of repairs to key roadways around the venue. BSSMC club members have historically undertaken the repair work themselves (at minimal cost) prior to each event. Recent changes to the approval process for such works need to be assessed in terms of practicality and cost, and there remained a significant risk that the required works could not be completed before the June event.

We do not want to risk the reputation of the venue or indeed the club as organisers, and therefore have reluctantly taken this step to allow us time to find a workable solution. We hope that we will be in a position to run the event again in 2018
