The event received a very strong entry of 34 cars for round 1 of the O Shea Bus Hire Munster Autocross Championship & was also a counting round of the Carbery Plastic Skibb D.C.C. Championship.

Sunny conditions greeted the crews however the track remained wet after the snow the previous day. After the briefing & the practice the drivers set off out on this new track for the first timed run.

After the first timed run, Peter Brennan (Semog Buggy) lead Limericks Chris O Callaghan by 3.07 seconds after setting a time of 1.36.16. Paul O Driscoll (Semog Buggy) 3rd with Limerick driver Eddy Walsh quickest Saloon driver out of the blocks in 4th on a time of 1.41.19 with Lucaz Czapnik in his newly acquired Subaru 5th 0.24 behind Walsh. Owen Murphy was 8th after clipping a bank while both Cal Mc Carthy (Club championship sponsor) & Paul Dullea were suffering Steering woes. Brian O Mahony quickest Skibb D.C.C. driver on 1.42.87.

After Run 2 Chris O Callaghan took over the lead from early leader Brennan. With now just 0.5 of a second covering 2nd to 5th. O Driscoll 3rd, Owen Murphy 4th & Brian Hassett 5th. The 2nd run saw big improvements in times by Richard Percy (Ford Special) Padraig Devane (Civic) Ger O Connel (Celica) Robert Beamish (Nova) Barry Galvin (Golf) & Johnny Keneally getting to grips with his newly acquired Subaru.

Run 3 with an ever drying track saw Chris O Callaghan better his time yet again setting 1.30.34. Owen Murphy moved to 2nd however +4.19 behind O Callaghan. Further behind just 0.04 separated Brennan & Hassett for 3rd. Indeed, this was the theme in all other classes too, particularly class 2 where Munster championship sponsor Gerard O Shea was in the thick of the battle with Mike Casey & Danny Greaney who really put up a fight setting 1.41.83.. Class 5 Saw Eoghan Mc Mahon (Subaru) & Johnny Kenneally swapping times.

Run 4 & a potentially disaster spin for O Callaghan (where Murphy clipped a bank earlier in the day) gave hope to those behind him however, his time on Run 3 could not be beaten. O Callaghan held out to win the event, setting fastest O/A time. This win is Chris' 3rd autocross win in a row. Brian Hassett finished 2nd +2.76 behind. Owen Murphy 3rd and the Fastest O/A Saloon. Early leader Brennan 4th with Paul O Driscoll 5th.
