A lot of you may have already heard of RetroStock.ie and what it brings to the Retro and Classic car scene here in Ireland. For those who haven't? we can only assume that you've been hiding away in the garage for the past 4 years surviving on nothing else but Mikado's, MIG wire and sheet metal. Retro Stock is one of the biggest events on the social calendars for drivers of Retro & Classic cars that takes place at a race track.

In the coming weeks, while a lot of you will be fine tuning steering and suspension setups looking for that extra bit of lock, others will be detailing that last trumpet of their twin carburettors. This is what brings like-minded individuals of RetroStock together. Not only does RetroStock cater for the ever growing drifting and time attack scene Retro Car Scene in Ireland, but it also caters for the show and shine element with a dedicated hard parked area in the paddock of Mondello Park to show off your latest build!

RetroStock will be using the full International Circuit at Mondello (3.4 km) for the full day and will alternate between 30 minute sessions of 'Grip' & 'Drift' style driving, providing an edge over standard track days. By alternating driving sessions, it allows drivers to concentrate on setting some quick lap times during the grip sessions or let it all hang out in the drift sessions without the confines of normal track days. This year, we are delighted to announce that we will have Lap timing transponders available to pre-book for those who want the bragging rights on the day, but be warned? times will be shown on a large screen in the paddock area.

Mondello offers plenty of car parking for spectators of RetroStock who would like to park up their Classic / Retro car for the day to enjoy the track action from the side lines or admire the latest builds of the Irish Retro and Classic car scene. Once again, unlike previous years, this year, for those participating in the Retro Show N Shine area, they will get the unique opportunity to partake in 5 parade laps of the international circuit during the lunch time session.

Round 1 of RetroStock will be held on Saturday 28th May 2016.

Round 2 of RetroStock will be held on Sunday 11th September 2016.

Mondello will open their gates at 8.30 am and they will hold the Driver Safety Briefing at 9.00 am sharp. (Mandatory Attendance)

Euro 200 Per Car with Two Drivers for the Day.
Euro 30 To Rent a Lap Timing Transponder for the Day (Booking Essential)
Euro 10 for the Show N shine area with 5 parade laps of the international circuit.

The moment you've all be waiting for... put down the spanners and grinder for a minute and set your eyes on this year's dates for RetroStock 2016.

Round 1: Saturday 28th May
Round 2: Sunday 11th September

Price is Eur 200 for the full day on Mondello's International circuit. Usual applies... drift and grip will both be run throughout the day.
