Sunday May 15th will see thousands of car enthusiasts and motor cycle fans flock to the City North Hotel for the 2011 ALMC Performance Car Show where stunning cars from all over the country and overseas will be on display in the hotel car park from 11.00am until 5pm. On show will be a wide and varied selection of some of the greatest performance cars these coupled with plenty of exhibition stands and children’s entertainment this year’s show promises to be a great day out for the family. Entry to the show is free and the show provides enthusiasts with the rare opportunity of getting up close to the famous big name cars such as BMW, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus and many more while enjoying the facilities of the City North Hotel. The show now in its third year is organised by members of the ALMC Motor Club which comprises of members from Dublin, Fingal, Meath and Louth. The organising committee have gone to great efforts to assemble a selection of supercars from the 50’s through to the 80’s which will be showcased alongside modern day classics from the world of rallying, racing and road going sports cars, all in aid of the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation.

A wide and varied selection of fabulous cars and motorbikes upwards of 200 will be on display at this year’s show including the supercharged Ariel Atom, with 300bhp and weighing only 500kg it is one of the world’s fastest accelerating cars, capable of 0 to 100mph and stopping again all inside 10 seconds. There will be many Porsche models on display including the stunning 993 alongside a selection of Porsche race cars. For Motorbike enthusiasts Neil Hodgsons 2010 Yamaha R1 British Superbike, built by Rob McElnea to Factory Specification will be on display. Built with Traction Control and onboard Gyroscope, the bike develops a max power output of 218bhp and is still in its full Superbike Livery. This will be displayed alongside one of the late Martin Finnegan's bikes.

The world of rallying will also be well represented with the ex-Jan Kopecky Skoda Fabia S2000 on display which is now owned by local driver and Motorsport Ireland Billy Coleman award winner Robert Barrable. Other notable cars on display will be a wide and varied selection of historic rally cars including Fiat Arbarth’s, Ford Anglia’s, a Lotus Cortina and a 1965 Austin Healey 3000. Robert’s Citroën Trophy UK & Ireland winning C2R2 will also take pride of place at the show and will be displayed along with many current Subaru Impreza’s, Mitsubishi Evo’s and a selection of Nissan 200 SX models.

The show will feature a raffle with an impressive selection of motoring-related prizes and all proceeds go to the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation which provides home nursing care and respite to the families of 300 children nationwide who are born with or develop brain damage and who suffer from sever intellectual and physical developmental delay as a result. Books of tickets will be on sale at €10 per ticket, with each book of 16 tickets covering the cost of one night’s care from a qualified nurse; these will be available on the day, or can be purchased in advance from

ALMC are delighted to announce the return of the ever popular Performance Car Show which will take place in the City North Hotel on Sunday 15th May 2011 in aid of the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation. Once again the ALMC will gather together a collection of the finest and most stunning cars from all over the country and overseas. The show takes place in the hotel car park from 11.30am to 5pm with plenty of exhibition stands and children’s entertainment to add to the fun. Entry is free and all the family can get up close to the famous big name cars such as BMW, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus and many more. This is the third year of the hugely successful show and the organizing team is promising an even bigger and more exciting show with added entertainment inside the hotel also. The show is not only about showcasing the latest in sports cars, it will also present supercars from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s alongside the modern day classics from the world of rallying and high performance, all in aid of the Jack & Jill Foundation who provide nationwide home nursing care and respite services to families of children who are born with or develop brain damage and who suffer from severe intellectual and physical developmental delay.

A wide and varied selection of fabulous cars and motorbikes upwards of 200 machines will be on display and it promises to be as spectacular as with previous years. Highlights from last year’s event included the supercharged Ariel Atom, the much sought after Ford GT and the Porsche 997 GT3 RS, the most focused and racetrack-oriented street legal car that Porsche ever manufactured.

Motorbike enthusiasts will once again this year be catered for with ALMC teaming up with the local Loughshinny Motorcycle Supporters Club to organize a wide and varied selection of the world’s greatest two wheel machinery.

The show will also feature a raffle which will include an impressive selection of motoring-related prizes with all proceeds going to the clubs chosen charity the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation. The foundation provides home nursing care and respite to the families of 300 children nationwide who are born with or develop brain damage and who suffer from severe intellectual and physical developmental delay as a result.
