Sligo Pallets Border Rally Championship is go for 2012

The Committee of the Border Championship is delighted to confirm that Sligo Pallets will return as title sponsors for the 2012 Border Rally Championship.

2012 marks the 21st year of the championship and it continues to grow from strength to strength. Over 200 competitors signing up last year and a similar number is expected again this year. The Championship launch took place last Sunday, 4th March at the Sligo Park Hotel. Defending Champions, Arthur & Mac Kierans were in attendance along with Championship Sponsor Andrew Mullen and representatives from each of the six promoting motor clubs.

The 2012 series maintains the same format of six events with a competitor's best four scores counting. This championship is unique in that the overall winner is determined solely on their performances in their respective class. This gives crews in all classes an equal chance of winning the overall title. The opening round of the series takes place next Sunday, 11th March with the Mayo Stages Rally.

Sligo Pallets is a limited company that specialises in supplying ‘as new’ timber pallets to companies all over Ireland – North and South. The company collects, sorts, repairs and grades pallets to high specification. All pallets therefore have gone through a rigorous grading procedure before getting the Sligo Pallets approval.
