Loughran Signs Midlands East Rally Championship 2010

The 2010 Championship is now ready to go, with a new main Sponsor on board this year, Loughran Signs. Dominic Loughran who is no stranger to rallying and competes himself is very happy to be associated with the Championship for 2010. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Fergal Costello of Jap Cars for his support and sponsorship over the last 2 years. We would also like to thank our 4 associate sponsors who are back on board for 2010 – Declan Tansey Construction, A & A Insulation, Patrick Carberry Sand & Gravel and Tom Holton Windows.

Now in its 6th year, the Championship has gone from strength to strength. 2009 was a great year with it coming down to the wire in the last round in Baltinglass where in the end we had joint 1st overall winners Trevor Mulligan and Thomas Carolan and Declan Smith as 1st overall navigator.

This year promises to be just as exciting as last year and starts off in Nenagh.

Due to the economic downturn facing us all, which will obviously have an effect on motorsport in the coming season, we realise that some competitors may not be in a position to contest all rounds. If this is the case, we would ask you to come out and help on any round you are not competing in.

Registration for the 2010 season will be held on Saturday 27th February 2010 in Abbey Court Hotel in Nenagh in the afternoon in conjunction with Documentation Scrutiny.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish all prospective competitors the best of luck for the coming season.
