Just a note from Maurice Moffett, President of Monaghan Lions Club to say many thanks to all motorsport fans and their families who supported our charity day so well and made the day a great success despite poor weather on the day.
Special thanks to David and Malachy at Rally School Ireland and to Kris Meeke, Eugene Donnelly, Wesley Patterson and Alistair Fisher for their attendance and participation and to all who came along and brought their showcars, some of whom travelled a long way. Once again thanks to all who helped in any way to make this day possible and with the excellent support it received this year, it is hoped that this event may take place again next year.

Monaghan Lions Club -Rallycar Experience in Rally School Ireland this Sunday. Chauffeur driven spins available all day in high powered rallycars Inc. 6R4 Metro, GpA Subaru Impreza, 2.4 Starlet and Mk2 Escorts at nominal fees - all in aid of local cha...rities. Celebs driving Inc. IRC's Kris Meeke...! Also amazing static display..! Great day out for all the family...!

Plans for Sunday’s charity event at Rally School Ireland are now beginning to take shape….

Main outline is as follows:

Gate opens at 12.30 – M.C. on the day Sean McCaffrey of Northern Sound Radio fame!!

Admission for Adults is €10…kids go free!!
Admission includes entrance to raffle (prizes detailed below)

Opportunity to pay for chauffeur driven spins with top drivers including Kris Meeke, Adrian McElvaney and Maurice Moffett in both their own high-powered rally cars and Rally School cars as well as the Rally School Rage Buggy.
Prices start at €50.

Excellent under-cover facilities for viewing track.

Grand auction

Bidding will be taking places throughout the day for three 10 lap stage runs with

Kris Meeke in Metro 6R4
Eugene Donnelly in Maurice Moffett’s Starlet
Wesley Patterson in his Mark II Escort

Also the opportunity to co-driver for Maurice Moffett in next weekend’s Castle Mini Stages will be auctioned off during the day (must be over 16yrs)

A limited number of helicopter rides will be available for sale subject to weather conditions.

Static Display will include both road and rally cars including some of the best in the country!!

Raffle prizes are as follows:

1st - Full day course @ RSI
2nd - Full day course @ Drift School Ireland
3rd - ½ Day Rally course @ RSI
4th - €200 Voucher for RSI
5th - €100 Voucher for RSI
6th - Kris Meeke Jacket (Orchard Motorsport – given in voucher form)
7th - Kris Meeke DVD (Orchard Motorsport – given in voucher form)
8th - RSI Jacket
9th - RSI Fleece
10th - RSI T-Shirt

Draw will take place in two halves at 4pm and 5pm.

Opportunity to meet top Motorsport personalities including Eugene Donnelly, Glenn Allen, Keith Cronin, Alistair Fisher, Wesley Patterson and Kris Meeke

RSI merchandise as well as other top rally team wear will be on sale on the day.

Bouncing castle will be on site on the day.

Food and refreshments available on site.

Maurice Moffett is the new President of the Monaghan Lions Club and they are organising a day at Rally School Ireland on the 30th August.
There will be a rally car show and raffles for various prizes connected with the Rally School.
There will also be an opportunity to buy a seat as a co-driver with some top competitors.
The plan is to raise as much money as possible for charity and the proceeds will go to the Drumkill Day Centre which cares for Alzheimer's patients.
