Russell Brookes to drive Andrews Sunbeam and Manta 400

Russell Brookes Two Times British Rally Champion and 1989 Irish Tarmac Rally Champion will be in action on The Forest Stage in his Ex Works 1981 RAC ANDREWS Heat For Hire Talbot Lotus Sunbeam. The car will be in Forest Spec and it will be his First outing on loose sence the 1981 RAC.
Russell over the last 3 years used the car in tarmac spec with good sucess. At the Chatsworth rally show Russell trilled the crowds in the wet conditions using the Sunbeam Lotus and the Manta 400. With both cars at GOODWOOD in the Period ANDREWS Livery Russell will be busy. The awesome 5.5-litre V12 Peugeot 908 HDi FAP 2009 Le Mans winning car is to be on show in the paddock and also campaigned up the famous 1.16 mile Goodwood Hill at this year's Festival of Speed. Just weeks after its victory at Le Mans, the No.9 Peugeot 908 HDi FAP, which covered 3,234.85 miles in 24 hours, is being re-united with its three drivers - Marc Gené, David Brabham and Alex Wurz. Also, local resident to Goodwood, Nicolas Minassian, who achieved an average 149mph with the fastest lap at Le Mans, will also attend the Festival of Speed over the weekend.
Another successful Peugeot car at the Festival of Speed includes the IRC championship-leading 207 S2000 (the winner in Brazil, the Azores and the Belgian Ypres IRC rally) will be on both the Goodwood Hill and rally section with Peugeot UK sponsored Kris Meeke supporting the Richard Burns Foundation.
Also, the only surviving Peugeot 601 Eclipse - the fourth of eight in a lineage pioneering metal folding roof designs that includes the current 207 CC and new 308 CC - is being displayed in the Cartier Style et Luxe which illustrates the history of exceptional automobile design, and is situated on the private lawns of Goodwood House in the company of the world's finest road cars.

Mark Courtney has been invited to the 2009 Goodwood Festival of Speed in his Toyota Celica ST205
Mark will run in
Class 51, Goodwood Forest Rally Stage: The Birth of Stage Rallying.
The Car is currently being re-done in Works colours for the event.

All-time record 115 drivers and riders now confirmed for the Festival of Speed

With three weeks still to go until the 2009 Festival of Speed gets underway (3-5 July), Goodwood can now confirm that an all-time high of over 115+ star drivers and riders will be present at the world’s largest celebration of motoring culture. This beats the Festival’s previous best of 101 top attendees from the world of motor sport in 2008.
As well as having both the reigning Formula One and WRC World Champions at Goodwood (Lewis Hamilton and Sebastien Loeb) the latest confirmed list who will be driving or riding what the at the 2009 Festival of Speed reads like a who’s who of motor racing.
Joining existing confirmed drivers such as the current 2009 season Formula One championship leader Jenson Button and Sebastien Loeb’s team mate Dani Sordo, sharing his WRC Citroen C4, will be David Brabham, driving his father’s 1959 World Championship-winning Cooper T51, Bruno Senna driving his uncle Ayrton’s McLaren MP4/4 (as will Lewis Hamilton), and Eddie Irvine driving Gilles Villeneuve’s famous Ferrari 312 T3.
SEBASTIEN LOEB LEADS CITROEN DEBUTS AT GOODWOOD

Five-time World Rally Champion Sebastien Loeb will be making his Goodwood debut at this year’s Festival of Speed (3-5 July), driving his trusty Citroen C4 WRC up the famous 1.16-mile Goodwood Hill, as well as around the event’s challenging purpose-built Forest Rally Stage.
Loeb’s first appearance at Goodwood will give his large British fan base a rare chance to see him in action at very close quarters on tarmac, sliding through the gravel and in person. His dominant Citroen C4 WRC will also be on display in the dedicated WRC paddock, located near the main Formula One paddock area at the Festival. Loeb will be joined on Goodwood Forest Rally Stage by a host of other rallying legends past and present, including Walter Rohl, Stig Blomqvist, Hannu Mikkola, Bjorn Waldegaard and Rauno Aaltonen. A rare ex-works Group B Citroen BX 4TC rally car will also be in action on the Stage.
Other Citroens making their Goodwood debut will include the amazing GT by Citroen concept car, which will be seen in action publically for the very first time anywhere in the world driving up the hillclimb as part of the popular Sunday Times Supercar Run.
Elsewhere at the Festival the forward-focused Citroen C-Cactus will be displayed in the FoS-TECH future technology pavilion, whilst a beautiful and scare Slough-built Citroen 11 Light Fifteen ‘Traction Avant’ Roadster will form part of a class of pioneering 1930s cars in the Cartier ‘Style et Luxe.’ The revolutionary Traction Avant celebrates its 75th anniversary this year, and the rare example at Goodwood will share a class on the Cartier lawn with other innovative cars of the 1930s such as the stunning Hispano-Suiza H6C Xenia and Cord 812 Beverly.
Admission to the Goodwood Festival of Speed is by advance ticket only.
