With less than four weeks to go before the start of Rally Ireland 2009, the Boyle World Rally Festival have today announced their programme of events. Former Formula 1 racing supremo Eddie Jordon tops the bill when his band Eddie and the Robbers take centre stage on Friday evening for a free concert.

The Festival all kicks off at Friay 30th January at 3pm with the Rally Ireland passage control which will see all WRC cars travel through Boyle and stop in the centre of town. This will provide an excellent opportunity for one and all to see the world's best cars and drivers up close and personal. And stationery.

The Shaylyn Irish music and dance show will also be in town during the evening, performing two shows in St Joseph's Hall and much more besides.
