Rally Fans to Get Behind the Scenes at Charles Hurst Citroen

Rally fans from Ireland will have an opportunity to get behind the scenes with top class competitors, and their cars, at an event organised by Charles Hurst Citroën.
The evening will be a fantastic prelude to the Ulster International Rally which takes place on the weekend of August 22/23 within a 30 mile radius of Armagh City. It is a key round of both the British Rally Championships and the Irish Tarmac Championships.
The Citroën Sport ‘Shakedown’ is being hosted by Charles Hurst at their complex on the Boucher Road on Tuesday August 19th at 7pm.
The special guest will be Sebastien Ogier, leader of the Junior World Championship series.
“Anyone is welcome and we hope there will be a very large crowd to see Sebastien and ask him lots of questions” said Raymond Moore, Charles Hurst Citroën Parts Manager.
“Sebastien will take part in a chat show along with local Citroën stars from the British and Irish C2 Cups. The new R2 Max will be launched in both left hand and right hand drive, with the Works Citroën engineers there to inform us of the latest technical developments.
“It’s a chance to see what’s behind those exciting pocket rockets and also to see what the future may be for young driver schemes involving Citroën Sport. There should be a real buzz coming up to the Ulster International Rally and we hope our event will be a very popular curtain raiser.”
The evening is free and there will be entertainment, an autograph session and the chance to quiz the world’s leading rally team as well as getting up close and personal with the current C2 R2 Cup cars and the Super 1600 Citroens.
