The Cork Motor Club 1000 shakes Navigation trial took place over the weekend and it proved to be an outstanding event.
C.O.C Donal Healy, himself a seasoned campaigner, was assisted by Peter Keohane and Darren McCarthy, and between them they set out arguably one of the toughest events certainly in the last year and possibly longer.

"Bones" O' Conor / Paul Phelan scored their third straight win in the RIAC National Navigation Championship on last
weekends Cork MC "1000 Shakes" rally. The win, helped in no small way by the retirement of early leaders Pat Willoughby /
Vincent Fagan whose Opel Kadett developed electrical problems, has moved the former Champions into third spot in the
Championship standings with just three rounds remaining. The night saw a host of penalties as crews tried to come to terms
with some very tricky navigation and "plot & bash".
