Kris Meeke - Rally GB
Posted: November 10, 2003 10:44 PM
Kris Meeke gave the best performance of his career to date at the Rally
GB last weekend, in the Team Palmer Opel Corsa. The event, which is
usually remembered for its mud and bad weather, was mostly dry but still
very slippery. With the JWRC title almost a forgone conclusion, and this
being the final round of the Championship, the battle was on for the
outright win.

Late heartbreak for rapid McShea
Posted: May 11, 2003 8:39 PM
Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) FIA World Production Cup Championship driver Niall McShea and his co-driver Chris Patterson starred on the Rally of Argentina, setting nine fastest stage time in the 25-stage event.
But the pairing’s hopes of an incredible runner-up position – which would have been the best result ever for a British crew in the class - were dashed with just two stages to run when they had to retire their Mitsubishi Lancer E6 after the oil cooler was damaged following an impact to the sump guard after a high-speed jump.

Kris Meeke - Monte Carlo
Posted: January 28, 2003 11:34 AM
Kris Meeke made a remarkable impression on his Monte Carlo Rally debut.
Of the twenty-three Junior World Championship contenders, Kris set an
impressive pace, with a fifth fastest time on SS1. A wrong tyre choice for
the ice and snow on the next stage, dropped the Team Palmer Opel crew over
one minute forty seconds to the leading S1600, Daniel Carlsson.

Junior World Championship for Meeke
Posted: January 7, 2003 11:10 AM
Colin McRae protégé Kris Meeke, is set to tackle the 2003 Junior World
Rally Championship with Opel's S1600 Corsa.
Kris is confident after extensive negotiations, that his management
company have secured a very competitive package. "The car is still in its
infancy, and has already shown its true potential during 2002, by leading
Rally Deutschland and running second on Rally Great Britain. There is also
an extensive testing and development package included in the programme, so
we should benefit from a good amount of seat time."
