Further to the foot and mouth, it seems that many rallies are still being postponed and cancelled. However, we have confidently put together a revised calendar for the Super 106 Cup, so that we feel we can progress and work towards good rallying in the next few months.

May 12 Rally of Wirral*	Asphalt National B
July 7/8	Charlemagne Asphalt National A
July 21 Pirelli Rally* Gravel National B
Aug 31/Sep 1	Ulster Rally Asphalt International
September 29	York Rally* Gravel National B
October 13	Rally of Kent* Gravel National B
November 10	Oxford Rally* Gravel National B

Note, that the event date for Oxford Rally has dropped back one week from that originally published. The event missing from our original calendar is the Scottish Rally, revised date of 21st September, as we felt that 3 events within 5 weeks were just too many to commit you to as Super 106 Cup. However, this will remain part of the Formula Rally Championship, and as such, we will encourage you to still contest this rally. We potentially reserve this event for later inclusion, should the Pirelli fall to the foot & mouth crisis too, and also let you know about the 11th August, another potential event for us based in Cardiff. Scoring rounds will now be 5 from 7 events.

The French event has stated there is no problem with our attendance, and hopefully the Ulster event will also be given the go ahead by the time the end of August comes round. Again depending on the foot and mouth situation, we are hoping that the later months will be full of excellent rallying.

There are another few contingency events should the above not happen, but remain confident that we are still hosting an exciting, vibrant championship.

Rally of Wirral

12th May, 2001
This event will take part in the New Brighton part of the Wirral. If I can quote from a competitor, “Whilst blasting around a couple of straight roads with the odd 90 left, hairpin and chicane isn’t how we want to start our year, this event can stand proud as a breath of fresh air in the current climate of gloom.”

Great television coverage, easy spectator viewing, excellent promotional facilities, this event will still offer maximum media opportunities to all.

Regulations have been sent to all registered Cup drivers, and entries are guaranteed if received before the 1st of May.

We are hoping to run a forum at the Peugeot dealers on the Friday night, and extend our Training to include Team Building on the Sunday morning.

Don’t forget also our start of year picture, with everyone in full team kit!

Further info will be sent out on these activities.
