With just a few weeks to go the stage is set for one of the highlights of the French Rally calendar, the 23th Rallye des Routes du Nord. Promoted by R.R.N.O and based in the heart of Flanders, the event will take place over the week-end of the 1st and 2nd of March and promises to be a cracker.

The 2 days-event will stay closer to the hosting town Armentières (near Lille) and will consist of 162,90 competitive kilometers of tarmac stage split in 15 S.S circling the centralised servicing. Teams will be permitted to carry out a full recce of the route on Saturday 23th/Sunday 24th or on Thursday 28th /Friday 29th February.

Scrutiny will take place between 18.00 and 22.00 hrs on Friday evening. First car will be flagged off from the start-ramp at 12.00 am on Saturday for the first 6 special stages (including Boeschepe Stage described by regulars competitors as one of the best they have ever competed). The remaining 9 stages follow on Sunday morning and the winners should be spraying the champagne at around 16.30 pm to enable a return home on Sunday evening.

The proximity (1 hour drive) of the Dover-Calais ferries crossing line and Eurotunnel makes the rally easily accessible for those travelling from UK and Ireland.
