It will display both of its Lancer Evolution IXs that are more usually seen competing in this year's Tesco 99 Octane MSA British Rally Championship, driven by Guy Wilks and Gwyndaf Evans.
With its headquarters not far from Castle Combe, Cirencester-based Mitsubishi Motors UK has been a regular supporter of RallyDay since it was first held in 2001. This year will be no exception, with one of its works Evos taking pride of place on Mitsubishi's promotional display stand, with the sister car appearing in the British Rally Championship area.
As the team will have completed two-days testing in Wales immediately before RallyDay, neither car will be seen in action at the Wiltshire race-track. However, Evans will be demonstrating a Lancer WRC05 in the feature rally stage - a performance not to be missed!
Initially not intending to participate at the Chatsworth Rally Show, Mitsubishi confirmed its decision to attend last week, as General Manager for Ralliart Paul Brigden explains:
"We have been concentrating 100% on our British Championship campaign this year and have not wanted to distract ourselves from our goal of winning both the team's and driver's titles. However, with SEGA recently announcing its support for Guy and featuring images of our cars in its new rally game, this new association has enabled us to attend the Chatsworth event as well as RallyDay."
Both Works Mitsubishis will carry SEGA identity at Chatsworth, the occasion being used to launch its latest game which goes on sale on 28th September.
Grant Gie, of SEGA, said: "The Chatsworth rally show is a great opportunity to celebrate the release of SEGA Rally and we are delighted to team up with Guy and Mitsubishi Motors UK for this occasion. At the show, we'll be giving visitors the opportunity to play the game - plus the chance to win a white-knuckle ride with Guy."
Both Wilks and Evans are attending the event and will be demonstrating to spectators the impressive performance of Mitsubishi's state-of-the-art Production Class Lancer on the rally stage.
For the company that builds and runs the two Works Evos, ADR Motorsport, the visit to Chatsworth is a local affair, as its workshops are based just a few miles away in Chesterfield.
The Mitsubishi Motors UK rally team is supported by HKS, Pirelli, Sparco, Speedline Corse, PIAA, Ricardo and Performance Friction Brakes. Guy Wilks is supported by Mobil 1 and SEGA Rally
