A Night Navigation Trial was held in Geevagh, Co Leitrim at the weekend and
was a counting round of the National, Border and Munster navigation
championship. The overall winners were Charlie McMonagle and Aidan Friel in
a Subaru who ended up with nil penalty points on the night. First home in
the expert class were Michael Tynan and Daniel McKenna with Andy Mackarel
and Liam Higgins in second place. The winners of the semi expert class were
Martin Tynan and Ciaran Tynan while in the Novice class Anthony Murphy and
Paddy Drake took the honours. In the Beginners class Colm Mohan and Mathew
McCrudden were first home. The first Midlands crew home were Niall Kearney
and Eoin Longworth who competed in a Starlet.
