More than 150 motorsport marshals from all over Ireland were rewarded with rally car passenger rides and go-karting at Superdrive last Sunday 22nd January 2006, for the Motorsport Marshalling Partnership (MMP) Open Day.

The MMP is an initiative that recruits and rewards people who marshal on motorsport events throughout Northern Ireland.
Speaking at the Open Day, supported by 2&4 Wheels, the 2005 Irish Tarmac Champion, Eugene Donnelly thanked everyone who marshalled in 2005,
“Motorsport Marshals, operations and communications personnel are vital to motorsport events and without them we would not be able to compete on the fantastic stages we have here in Ireland.”
Marshalling is an ideal way of getting involved in the motor sport scene in Northern Ireland, at grass-roots level.
Plunkett Boyle from the MMP says:
“Whether they are a complete beginner, or have done some marshalling in the past the MMP welcomes anyone interested in getting into motorsport in Ireland”
Without marshals, motor sport events simply cannot happen.
