Focus Owners Rally Championship
David Delaney from Cashel secured his second ever win in the Ford Focus Owners Rally Championship to take a hard fought victory on the second round of the series at the Carlow Stages Rally.

Ex- KA Competitor Kieran Daly from Charleville set the initial pace as he caught his fellow competitors off guard to record the fastest time on the opening stage to take the lead. With stage two cancelled the rest allowed Oliver Stanley (Durrow) to set the pace on stage three and four to take the lead. However Stanley suffered gearbox problems on stage 6. This handed the lead to Delaney who set the pace to the finish to record his first win of the season. Daly produced a mature drive to score his bets finish of the season.

The next round of the series sees the crew’s head to the fast stages around Adare in Co. Limerick for the Circuit of Munster on the June Bank Holiday Weekend.
