Brian Armstrong won the Loughgall Country Park Stages Rally for the 2nd time in 3 years on Saturday beating his uncle Norman Armstrong by 8 secs both driving MK 2 escorts. Big crowds turned out to watch the 80 rally cars tackle the 8 special stages in varying conditions.

Mervyn Wedlock held the early lead in his G4 escort but slipped back as the conditions changed and ended up finishing 4th overall just 1 sec behind 3rd place Rodney White in his Talbot Sunbeam.

Thanks to Armagh City and district council for their sponsorship and all who helped with the running of a very successful event.
