02/02/02 Pirelli Tyres is pleased to announce that for the 2004 season it will become the title sponsor of the Irish Tarmac Rally Championship. The Championship will now be known as the Pirelli Irish Tarmac Rally Championship.

Pirelli is demonstrating its continued commitment to the development of rallying in Ireland from the grassroots through to the very highest echelons of the sport” said Wayne Nickless, Pirelli Marketing Director. “We are thrilled to have clinched the sponsorship of both the premier rally Championships in the UK and Ireland – with the Pirelli British Rally Championship and the Pirelli Irish Tarmac Championship”.
