The Scottish International Rally - 14-15 Jun 03
The second day of the Scottish International Rally restarted from Dumfries this morning. The first stage through Fuffock Hill starting just after 7.00 am. With the day promising more glorious sunshine, it was sure to be dust and tyre wear that caused the most anxiety.

Feeling more confident with the Peugeot 206 Super 1600, works driver Garry Jennings finished the second round of the Pirelli British Rally Championship in 4th position bringing home points for the works team.
Jennings and co-driver Gordon Noble had a challenging start to leg two of the Scottish International with another suspected puncture on stage eight. Jennings commented; Im not that happy with the handling, it feels like the shocks have gone again or we have a puncture. However, the pair charged on flat out in 6th gear holding 5th place on stages seven, eight and nine.
Into stage 10 and Jennings secures the 4th place he held onto through to the finish, commented; Im glad to bring the car back in one piece for the team. Weve had good rally and learnt a lot. Jennings went on to set a faster time than Kris Meeke in a Super 1600 Vauxhall on stage 11.
Noble commented; We have learnt a lot this weekend and have finished in the points which is good for myself and Garry and the team.
Motorsport Manager Mick Linford commented; I am pleased that the 206 has been brought home in the points and with respectable times. Garry and Gordon are learning about each other and the car all the time and ending up in the points instills more confidence for them.
Team Peugeot TOTAL will be back in Scotland for the 3rd round of the Pirelli British Rally Championship (5/6 July) for the Jim Clark International rally. In preparation for the Edinburgh-based round Jennings will test his 206 on asphalt later in the month.
