The Terre du Diois was a 12 stage, gravel event run on tight technical stages in Valence, France. Each day consisted of three stages, all run twice. Shaun and co-driver, Richard Pashley, began the rally well, setting times inside the top 5 on the opening stages. However, by mid afternoon the temperatures had soared to over 30C and the Irish driver began to suffer in the heat. Shaun managed to maintain his position and finished day 1 in 4th place.

The cool conditions on the opening stages of day 2 suited the young driver and he set 2nd fastest times on stages 7 and 8 and fastest time on SS9, moving himself into 3rd position. But yet again by midday the temperatures had hit the 30?s and hampered Shaun?s progress up the leader board.

Shaun finished the rally in 3rd place, giving him a valuable 22 points. Shaun is now lying in a strong position less than half the championship completed. He will return from France this week and make his way directly to Round 3 of the Peugeot 206 Super Cup, the Scottish Rally.
