On the 1st timed run, David Forde & James Lucey tied for second, with leading Saloon JJ Carroll in an Astra 4th.
2002 Darby O’Gills Killarney Autocross Champion Richard Percy retired on the first timed run with a broken drive shaft. Richard used his brother Lionel’s Special on his 2nd run but could not catch Lucey in an unfamiliar car.
As times for the 2nd run came through, it became clear that the pace was getting hotter.
Lucey again recorded fasted time and on his third run brought the fastest time of the day to 2min 45.34 Seconds.
David Forde did enough to get ahead of James Lucey on the second run with the positions staying the same after the final run.
In class one Willie Fitzgearld just got ahead of John Shanahan on the final run. Fitzgearld broke a drive shaft on the first run, but replaced the unit before the 2nd run.
Again in Class 3, James Flynn (Honda Civic) got the better of Jimmy Devane on the final run. Devane led the class after runs 1 and 2 but a broken CV joint left the door open for Flynn to take the class win, with Lehane second and Devane third.
