The compare and host for the evening, UTV SPORTS presenter Adrian Logan paid tribute to all of the contenders and gave a brief summary of their achievements over the year and presented them all with a framed photo taken of the monthly presentations.
Then came the tense moment the audience were awaiting and after listening to a very detailed account of achievements in only his second full year in Motorsport Garry was back on the rostrum for the second time to collect the main award of the evening and the title of FERMANAGH HERALD BELLEEK POTTERY SPORTS PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR.
Garry was congratulated and presented with his Belleek trophy by Mr.John Maguire managing director of the Belleek Group of companies.
This season is also off to a good start, Garry had a class win an 8th o/a and first 2wd car in the Kall Kwik rally based in Yorkshire a fortnight ago and last weekend on the first round of the Irish Forestry Championship based in Carrick on Suir, he had yet another class win, 1st 2wd car and an incredable 3rd o/a in his privately run ex works Peugeot 106 kit car, these results and mileage should prove invaluable to Garry when he gets his British Rally Championship underway in his full works supported Peugeot 206 S1600 car.
