The seventh and final round of the 2002 Ford Ireland KA Rally Championship will take place at the Kingdom Fast Fit Kerry Single Stage Rally on Sunday the 17th of November.
Eleven Pirelli shod Ford KA's will be competing on the final round of the series, that will decide the Championship Title Race. Both Gerry Keyes and David Lyons from Limerick are in the driving seat to claim the title. Keyes having broken his back in September has made a miraculous recovery to be fit in time to compete in the final round. David Lyons has to win the event to stand any chance of winning the title. However Keyes is still odds on favourite after taking four consecutive victories at the start of the season.

The Kingdom Fastfit Kerry Single Stage Rally will be a tough demanding stage based in the Castleisland region. The event could still be the joker in the pack and spring a surprise result as none of the top six positions are still finalised even after six tough events, which started back in April.
"It is amazing that Gerry has made such a quick recovery, it will be great to see him back and that the outcome of the Championship will be decided on the stages." Said Tom Collins, Championship Director.
"It is great to see the Championship battle going down to the wire. We wish all the competitors good luck but unfortunately there can only be one winner," said Declan Foley, KA Brand Manager.POS.
