Peugeot’s Justin Dale will be first off the line in the Super 1600 category at 9.30am on Saturday 28th from York racecourse. The first stage of the rally takes the field to Pickering showground where central service is based.
From there, the event goes to Dalby Complex before more mileage at Cropton. The cars will then return to York racecourse for Parc Ferme after 70 competitive miles.
Sunday Starts at Langdale, followed by a re-run of the Pickering stage with the Staindale stage bringing the event to a close. The rally will finish at York Racecourse at 15.30.
Justin Dale commented; “I do feel a bit under pressure to win this round of the championship since it will decide whether Jonny Milner or I take the 2002 overall title, but it’s largely because I want to leave Peugeot Sport UK with the championship under my belt. For me and the team it would finish off a good season!”
Team-mate Rory Galligan commented; “I’m looking forward to this round. It’s the last counting round of the championship and we could still take second in the Super S1600’s Championship. It’s going to be difficult and I need to get back on the pace but it’s possible. To take second after my team-mate Justin securing first would be great. If Evans (MG) finishes ahead of us though, we can still be the best new drivers in the 1600 category this season.”
