Round 5 - 2002 Maxsport Tyres Munster Championship
Round 2 - Darby O'Gills Killarney Championship
While Richard Percy's win in Killarney on Saturday evening brought an end to the winning run of Gerard Lucey, Lucey's 2nd place was more than enought to leave the Toyota Special driver firmly at the top of both the Maxsport Munster and Darby O'Gills Killarney Championships.

Held in conditions more suited to December than June, Clerk of the Course Pat Russel and his team saw the event go down to wire with most drivers setting their fastest times on their final run. Cork's John Shanhan time of 1 min 54.87 seconds the 3rd fastest of the day was good enough to win class 6.
After a brilliant run the weekend before at the Cork Rallysprint, Willie Fitzgerald continued his winning ways in Class 1, his fastest time good enough to beat all the class 2 & Class 3 cars! Class 2 was a battle of the Civics with James Lehane taking a narrow win from James Flynn. JJ Carroll brought his Astra home first in class 3, with Joe Shinnors Snr Fastest saloon and class 4 winner.
