Classic stages in north and mid Wales form the basis of this gravel round with over 100 miles of competitive stages. The Rally of Wales is a familiar rally to works driver Rory Galligan. Galligan, who recently took part in the Astra stages in mid Wales commented; "For me the stages in mid-Wales are some of the best in the world. I am feeling much happier with the car now we have more miles on the clock and will be looking to the podium again."
Irishman Gordon Noble, who has been competing in National rallying since the 80's commented; "Of all the forests in the world mid Wales are probably my most favourite. Rory Galligan and I did the Astra Stages recently to recce this round and with this in mind I think we will be competitive here."
Champion driver Justin Dale feels better prepared for the second round of the PBRC. He commented; "The Rally of Wales is one of my favourites. I am more confident about this rally than I was with Gateshead since there is more character to the stages in mid Wales than in Kielder. It's going to be hard beating Gwyndaf Evans on his home soil. We have new gearboxes on this event to try to alleviate the selection problems from Pirelli, and we don't expect any further brake problems."
Mick Linford, Motorsport Manager Peugeot Sport UK commented; "After initial teething problems, we are confident we will fair well in Wales. Justin and Rory are both familiar with the ground being covered during the Rally of Wales."
Timetable:- Newi College plays host to rally headquarters in Wrexham, with the rally servicing taking place there on Saturday and Sweet Lamb on Sunday.
