BORDER CHAMPIONSHIP CELEBRATES 10TH ANNIVERSARY

At the forthcoming 2002 Border Rally Championship Prizegiving Ceremony to be held at the Four Seasons Hotel & Leisure Club, Coolshannagh, Monaghan on Friday 29th November marks the 10th Anniversary of what has been described as Ireland's most popluar 'Clubman's Championship'.

From humble beginnings in 1992, the 6 Round Series has grown from strength to strength with well over 200 competitors vying for various prizes including the Derryveagh Crystal Perpetual Trophy for the victorious Driver and the Brian McGrath Memorial Trophy for the Class 12 winner.
A capacity crowd is expected at the Four Seasons Hotel for the Prizegiving Gala Dinenr to pay tribute to the 2002 Border Rally Champions - John Kelly (Driver) and Noel Hall (Navigator).
Some tickets for the event at E10 each are still available from Border Registrar, John Duffy, Mullinmore Street, Crossmolina, County Mayo and can be booked by telephone on 096 31646 (evenings) or 087 9583240.
Please note the Prizegiving Gala Dinner is ticket only.
N.B. There will be no admission without a ticket, as competitors who finished among the prizewinners must be present to collect their respective awards. If unable to receive his award on the night of the prizegiving, he must advise the Register of the name of the person, who will collect his award on his behalf. Awards not collected on the night will be deemed forfeit.
