The West Cork crew of Donal O'Donovan and Pat Lordan are to contest the
remaining eight rounds of the Motorsport Ireland 2000 National Rally
Championship. They have acquired the ex-Michael Barrable Toyota Celica
4WD Turbo (ST185), and will begin their Championship campaign on the
Circuit of Kerry on April 9th.

The Internet service provider, eircom.net, will be the major sponsor of the crew this year. Additional support comes from OKI Systems (Ireland) and Jimmy Barry Motors, Bantry.
Commenting on the late start to the campaign, O'Donovan remarked "We would have prefered to have been in action since the start of the season, but it just wasn't possible. The best eight results from ten rounds count towards the final Championship placings, and we have missed the first two events, so we won't have the luxury of dropping scores at the end of the year. It will put us under more pressure to put points on the board."
The Celica will run on Pirelli Tyres, as did the Sierra that O'Donovan and Lordan used for the past couple of years.
O'Donovan and Lordan have been rallying since 1984. Their successes to date include the 1998 Southern Four Rally Championship title, and victories on the Fastnet, West Cork and International Police rallies.
