The loose autocross was completely dominated by Ford powered cars as if to celebrate Colin Mc Raes superb win in the Ford Focus in the Catalunya rally which finished earlier in the day.

The 1999 Munster Autocross Champion Richard Percy signalled his intentions for the new millenium with a cracking drive in his trusty Ford Special. He set fastest time of the day on his second of three timed runs to beat his brother Richard with whom he was sharing his car. Third overall and fastest saloon was Joe Shinnors Snr. in the Ford Escort ahead of similar cars of Ray Benskin, Mick Linehan, and Greg Shinnors. Best placed non-Ford was Anthony Bullman in an Opel Kadett. Richard Davis debuted his new Honda Special, but it retired with mechanical failure before he clocked a timed run.
