Finally the wait is over and the build up is well and truly under way for
the first round of the Ford of Ireland KA Rally Series. The Galway
national rally sees the KA’s in action for the first time with
series regulars and newcomers vying for that top spot.

Team PAMAK enter into the new season with renewed confidence in their chance of attacking for the 2000 championship honors. The PAMAK KA has undergone an extensive rebuild at the hands of Boland Motorsport over the winter months to ensure the car is in fine fettle for the season opener.

Over the past couple of weeks Gus has been re-acclimatizing himself with car, testing in Tipperary along with co-driver Joe Hunter. The tests have proved very productive and Gus is confident that this year he should be well up there in the battle for the championship intending to be in front at the end of it all.
Last year was my first year competing in rallying and at that it was a learning year, 2000 though is a different case, we fully aim to be regulars on the podium throughout the year and are intent being on top when it matters the most.
Pre season testing concluded on Monday in Mondello where he was involved in a PR day with Ford of Ireland and Protec Promotions in launching the KA Championship for 2000 and the new Ford Racing Puma Road car.
