his Team did a excellent job. 22 entries on the day
Alan Clarke Bandon pipped local man John Lyons by .6 sec to win the evnt
overall, results are attached: Class Wins for John Lyons, Victor Beamish, Mike Mulcahy, Don Giles, Mike Cashman, Staven Clarke and Patrick Kelly

With a sense of déjà vu after the last round nobody seemed to want to win, the final Co. Kerry autotest of 2002 started with the requested bright sunshine.
Don Giles couldn’t be expected to repeat the last-time victory having switched to the family Westfield practicing for next year, but still took a creditable RWD class win after some pylon flying action.

On a day when all the usual contenders failed to perform, Don Giles continued his fine run of form to win a tight autotest in the largest car competing at Tralee on Sunday.

Autotesting, which is the ideal starter-level motor especially for Tarmac Rallying, has one of it’s major week-ends in Munster on Saturday and Sunday next with National championship regulars travelling to take a summer holiday to compete with the Munster Championship regulars. Event entries of over forty competitors can be expected and autotesting is to be recommended to those wishing to get actively involved in motorsport or who cannot regularly obtain rally entries.

Munster Autotest Championship in Keohanes Readymix Ballygurteen on Sunday
7th of July. Sign on is at 12pm and the first car starts at 12:30pm.
Directions are arrowed from the Ballineen/Dunmanway road and the
Clonakilty/Dunmanway road.

Waterford's Paddy Power took his Mini Special to a convincing win on last
Saturday evening's test trial at Kanturk.
Power was quickest on six of the nine tests, his main opposition coming from
Tyrone man Tommi McDaid who set fastest time on three tests.
Upcoming Events
