McGARRITY ALL THE WAY
After a faultless drive which saw him lead the event from start to finish, Derek McGarrity, with co-driver, Dermot O'Gorman, won the 2004 Ordnance Survey Ireland Rally of the Lakes. It was the reigning Irish Tarmac Champion's first victory on the Killarney rally and the dominant performance puts the Glengormley driver top of the Pirelli Championship points table.

Laois Motorsport Club are holding their club launch this Friday Night at the Gandon Inn ,Emo, Portlaoise at 8 o’ clock.
On the night at the Gandon Inn, the will have various activities including fundraising for People In Need, comprising of a Kart race over timed heats(with a twist),rally simulator experience, Rally Cars on display and a variety of cars from all aspects of Motorsport.

Lynch/ Regan Take Spoils with New S9

Photo: John Bayly - www.rallyfile.com Kevin Lynch/ Francis Regan stamped their authority on the Moonraker Forest Rally, taking their third win of the McCauley Trailers Series. The result never seemed in doubt as Lynch used his latest spec S9 Impreza WRC to claim a 48 sec winning margin ahead of Kildare’s Pat Norris/ Declan Timulty (Impreza555). Lynch/ Regan now on 78 points have further extended their championship lead.

The McHale family had a good weekend in the Welsh International Rally, the second round of the British Championship, with Austin and co-driver Brian Murphy bringing the Sanyo Focus home second overall behind double British champion Jonny Milner, while his son Aaron and Ger McMonagle were second in the Group N Production class in their Lancer Evo.

Kris Meeke/Chris Patterson won the Super 1600 Section

Brendan Murphy and Martin Brady took second place in the National section of the rally in their Impreza.
