Keenan heads for Netherlands = another class win!

The West Euro Cup Championship took place this year in the city of Nijverdal, Holland. Dessie Keenan, navigator Sean Moriarty and service crew arrived from their maiden voyage to the Netherlands. Twenty stages awaited the team held over two days, 25th and 26th September.

Mitsubishi Evolution Challenge - Crealey brings championship title to Portadown
Portadown driver, Brendan Crealey and his Sheffield based co-driver Steve Harris have secured the biggest prize in British Rallying, the 2003 Mitsubishi Ralliart Evolution Challenge Championship.
The title was secured in the forests of southwest Scotland at the weekend (13th September) on the Parks Systems Stages Rally in their Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 7.

The seventh and penultimate round of the Peugeot 206 Super Cup started from The Mall in the Ulster Rallys new home town of Armagh. In damp and overcast conditions, twenty Peugeot 206 Super Cup competitors set out for the first loop of three stages, with local man Gareth MacHale immediately making his intentions clear by setting three fastest stage times. Theres still more to come he said, so I am not going to count my chickens.

After lengthy negotiations during the Summer break, Ferodo have again agreed to sponsor the Bonus Scheme in 2004, subject to repeat Motorsport Ireland approval. Ferodo, suppliers to top WRC teams, have been very pleased with their first sponsorship of the scheme, and have been surprised at the high level of competition in this country.

The organisers of the Shell Donegal International Rally today announced that they will be unable to stage this year’s event. The Rally had already been postponed from it’s traditional June date, by the Donegal Motor Club, due to it’s concerns about the potential damage to the farming community while the Foot and Mouth alert continued.

Current Irish Tarmac Rally Champion Andrew Nesbitt was the winner of the first-ever Punchestown Rally Masters today when he steered his Subaru Ireland World Rally Car to a four second victory over Kenny McKinstry. Frank Meagher's Ford Focus taking the final podium placing of what was a hugely successful event.
