The 2000 calendar will be

Killarney Lakes 28/30 April
Millennium Super Special (last week May/early June
                          to be confirmed)
Donegal International 16/18 June
West 2000 22/23 July
Manx International 7/9 September
Cork 20 6/8 October

The significant changes to next years programme will be the absence of the Circuit of Ireland and the Ulster Rally, a change of date, name and location for the former Galway International Rally and the introduction of a completely new event - A Millennium Super Special.

Enniskillen Motor Club have been invited by TROA to organise the MIllennium Super Special, an event which will present a unique challenge for drivers over a private, tarmac, single venue special stage in County Fermanagh.

A further significant change to the programme will be the renaming of the former Galway International to "WEST 2000" and a move out of Galway City to a different location in the County over the weekend of 22/23 July.

Conscious of the growing numbers of Group N entries and the increasing level of competition amongst the drivers, TROA intend to provide increased support for this category next year and organise a Group N challenge within the overall championship.

Championship Manager, Don Wilmont has welcomed the continuing support and commitment from Toshiba for the championship and is currently in discussions with the sponsors to ensure a much higher profile and continued spectator interest for next year.

Announcing details of the programme, the chairman of TROA Austin Frazer stated "that despite the current difficulties facing a number of the organising clubs a lot of people have worked very hard behind the scenes to ensure the survival of the Toshiba Equium Irish Tarmac Championship. We feel that next years programme will present something a little bit different but which will still prove challenging and enjoyable for all competitors."
