irish-rallying.com goes beta!

The revamped irish-rallying.com begins its public beta testing today. This hearlds a new beginning for the website which began it's life as a hobby page for Brian Duggan. It is now the ultimate source for irish rallying related information on the web.

As with any beta testing session, we welcome all comments and suggestions especially those relating to bugs. Feel free to contact Brian or myself, George Clernon, about the site.

Updates (GC|7/9): We are now entering the final stages of beta testing. The next major event will be upgrading the server. In the meantime, have a look at the new For Sale page and the TV Listings page. The "For Sale" page is currently only for competitive cars. If anyone feels we've missed out on a program or two in the TV section please let us know.

In the coming weeks, we will be adding a "My Netscape" channel, a mail digest of all the recent articles and hopefully cross linking between other popular motorsport sites. Oh and possibly SMS messaging! And webcasting from events...

The site has been developed to provide the most comprehensive rallying information currently on-line. It utilises advanced database and scripting techniques to provide a dynamic website that will never falter (but it might trip up over a few bugs on the way).

As more events are added the database will continue to grow. This database is completely searchable. Just click on the search link to see all the options available.

Also included is a searchable photo database. This has yet to go online. A poll booth has been provided to allow the readers to comment on hot topics.

All this would not be possible without the help of our sponsors. I would ask you to take some time out to visit some of the sites on the sponsors section so that we can continue to provide such an excellent website.

Regards,
The irish-rallying Website Team

PS: If there is anyone out there that would like to sponsor us a laptop, please get in contact. We would like to start some live webcasts from various events for which a laptop would be necessary.
