Kelly Supplies Formula Ireland Championship, with two races to go. The prize for Irelands premier racing class is a test-drive in Japans top formula, so there’s everything to play for. Declan Quigley introduces the mid-season Supercar action is furious and controversial at Mondello Park where Brendan Donegan, Rod McGovern, and Noel Dunn are all in contention for the 2004 title. UTV Sunday 24 October * RPM 28a – Production and Junior World Rally Championship. RPM continues to track the fortunes of the two young Irish rally drivers on the world stage. Kris Meeke has been in action on the Junior World Series in Turkey Finland and Wales, while Niall McShea has been contesting the Production World Championship in Argentina and Germany. Eugene Donnelly and Derek McGarrity go to the final round of the Pirelli Irish Tarmac Rally Championship on equal points, so a fabulous finale to 2004 series is guaranteed in the south west. Kelly Formula Ireland Championship, it looked as if it was going to be a run-away year for Emmet Queenan, but Paul Dagg and Barry Waugh had other ideas as Declan Quigley reports. UTV Sunday 31 October * RPM 29® – Murphy Construction Cork 20 International Rally. A second chance to see the World Rally Cars in action on the final round of the Pirelli Irish Tarmac Rally Championship. UTV Thursday 5 Sept. 23.30 * RPM 21 – Triton Showers Lurgan Park Rally. With two British Rally Champions, Jonny Milner and Mark Higgins present, and `King of the Park` Kenny McKinstry just giving a demonstration run in a Mark II Escort, it looked like a walkover for the visitors. When 2002 Champion Andrew Nesbitt returned to the Irish stages to go head to head with the 2004 Champion Derek McGarrity, the sparks were expected to fly, but they came from a different direction then anticipated as Eugene Donnelly`s Toyota spoilt the Subaru party! For the third time this season the Pirelli Irish and British Rally Championships come head to head when the best rally drivers from both lands gather in Armagh for the Ulster International Rally.
