"This Annual is as controversial as ever. But it is also highly constructive, and it is dedicated to the many parts of a multi-branched sport that has witnessed an amazing annual growth of over ten per cent for the past five years," says editor Michael O'Carroll. "This Annual is for the sport and about those who take part in it. In all there are more than 7,000 licence holders on the entire island."

The Irish Motorsport Annual 2004 is unique in that it combines cars, karts and motorcycles. It is all things to all facets of the sport informative, critical, humorous, informative and topical.

What a year it has been in Irish motorsport with superb champions at home and abroad. It was a year in which Jonathan Fildes and Dermot Carnegie won British championships outright; when Austin McHale and Michael Cullen were runners up in international series, and Eugene Donnelly from Maghera was the home rally hero.

There were many other stars such as Hilton Hinks, John O'Hara, Ryan Farquhar, Kenny McKinstry, Eoin Murray, Eamonn Byrne, Kris Meeke, Derek McGarrity, Adrian Archibald, Niall McShea, Matt Griffin, Niall Quinn and Patrick Hogan, as well as those who competed for the fun, the competition and challenge.

The Irish Motorsport Annual 2004 will be on sale in all good newsagents and bookstores all over Ireland from December 1st, selling at Eur 9.99 or £6.25 (including all taxes).
