irish-rallying.com is getting a face lift. I will be attempting to move the new system onto the server this evening. Hopefully it will go smoothly.

Okay, so I've redesigned the site. It should look much better (though that's a matter of opinion) and it should be easier to navigate. Also I am planning on adding some nifty features for users who would like to interact with the site during motorsport events (e.g. MMS, SMS, team weblogs)!! That said it'll take me sometime to set those extra goodies up. Before I go into the new features I would like to declare that I have removed some of the old features. These mainly concern the scripts/files etc. that provided other sites with headlines from irish-rallying.com. If you used these scripts, please email us with your details/requests. Under the very simple logo there is a menu bar. This provides access to the main page, the search page, the links page, the for sale section, a page about irish-rallying.com and a form for emailing us! The new site has simple events calendar that highlights the forthcoming events and lists the events of the past week. Below that is a features box for when we want to highlight an interesting article. This is then followed by the Championships listing. This will contain links to championships organised by various categories. On right hand side there will be some adverts. Yes, we plan on giving into the powers of capitalism!! More to come. At the moment the first box is the irish-rallying.com mailing list sign up form. This is followed by the old news listing. That covers most of the changes. There have been changes to the admin pages but the only person that needs to know about those is Brian. Please keep reading the articles on the site. Thanks!
