C-SPORT PURCHASE PROTEC RACINGPosted: March 5, 2003 8:28 PM - 5140 Hits C-SPORT RACE AND RALLY PURCHASE PROTEC RACING Protec Promotions Ltd the organisers and promoters of the Ford KA & Focus Rally Championships have sold the assets of Protec Racing, (the car preparation and competition parts side of the business) to C-Sport, the Killaloe based Race and Rally car preparation business. C-Sport will now become the official parts suppliers to both the Ford KA and Focus Rally Championships. Protec Promotions Ltd will continue as organisers and promoters of the Ford KA and Focus Rally ChampionshipsPosted: March 5, 2003 8:28 PM \"This deal is perfectly balanced as it allows Protec Promotions Ltd the opportunity to concentrate and expand its core business, which is the promotion and organisation of one make competition car series. We currently have two new exciting projects in the pipeline along with the promotion and organisation of the existing Ford KA and Focus Rally Championships. The deal provides a sound base on which to expand Protec Promotions Ltd business more rapidly and sustainably than what would have been likely were it not for the deal.\", said Tom Collins, Protec Promotions Ltd, Managing Director. Martin O\'Connell, Managing director of C-Sport Race & Rally believes that the deal is \"An Obvious step forward for the company; not only will it provide more work for C-Sport\'s already busy workshops it will also allow C-Sport to expand into the ever growing motorsport retail market. As well as being the official parts supplier to the Ford Ka and Focus Championships, C-Sport can also provide competitors in these championships with a variety of other services from simple car set up to complete car rebuilds or on event support.
