Posted: June 5, 2002 8:59 AM He held the joint lead of the category going into the Cavan event, having taken maximum points at the previous round in Carlow, but now leads it outright. Douglas Richardson was second in class in Cavan, and he is now Randles' closest challenger. Two of the other leading Class 14 runners did not score points in this particular round - Enda Keenan failed to finish the event, while David Long did not enter. The 2002 Dunlop National Rally Championship has now reached its half-way point, with five further rounds remaining between now and October. The next event is the Waterford-based Raven's Rock Rally, on June 30th. The T&D Rallying Escort RS of Tom Randles and Diarmuid Lynch is supported by Advanced Bio-Tech, Dyno-Rod, Heatmerchants, Firebird, Plumbfast Direct and CRL Oil.
