  • Main Event
Richard Hogg, the Limavady driver, won the 5 stage Lark in the Park with a convincing win against all his rivals, in a car borrowed 9 hours earlier. Hogg who did not have a car on two occasions during the week leading up to the event, battled it out with other drivers all day, swapping times, with a quickening Sean Cassidy, and the ever dangerous John McKeown, and multi-talented Denis Biggerstaff.

Many drivers had problems from early in the morning, with broken clutches, diffs, and driveshafts. Many repaired, such a Biggerstaff to have a go at the shoot out prize of £1000, other failed such as Glen Allen in his Escort. Watch out for the Lark in the Park on ‘RPM’ TV later this summer – a real ‘Lark’ in the Park.
