Held over 20 stages (4 stages five times), the event was won by Patrick Snijers in an Escort WRC. Regular Irish visitor Melvyn Evans finished 8th overall. Best of the Irish crews were Gerry Mc Veigh/Padraig Dineen who finished 11th overall and 4th in Gp N. Ray Breen /Podge Newe finished 15 seconds behind in 12th in their usual Impreza.
Max Mc Killen/Tim McQuaid were just piped for class honours by the addition of a 10 second plently.

Others to make to trip were Kevin Barrett/Sean Mullahy (Subaru Impreza), Liam Davies/Billy Kelleher in the Ex Hugh Martin Doherty Impreza, and Barry Coleman with Hugh McPhilips in the ex Frank O'Mahony Impreza.

Kevin Barrett/Sean Mullally unfortunately had a massive huge speed accident. Both crews members are OK. Liam Davis was working his way into the Top 15 when the ECU cried enough. However he is leaving the car in Belgium to tackle a few more rounds of the Belgium Div. 2 championship.

Barry Coleman on his first outing in the the 4WD Impreza finished just outside the top 20. He found running down the order a big disadvantage, alot of mud had been dragged onto the road by the crews running ahead.
