Irish rally competitors are heading out next week to compete on the Dutch "BHV Expo International Rally".

Leading the Irish contingent is Killarney WRC driver Donie O'Sullivan, with Paul Nagle on note duty, and is seeded at no:3. Next up is the Limerick pairing of Ollie O'Donovan and Sean Mullally who are seeded at no 5 with Kevin Barrett and Barry Goodman at no 7.

Irish Rally Driver Moves Up French 206 Leaderboard Posted: June 9, 2003 8:11 PM

UPDATE - Following post event scrutineering at this weekend Terre du Diois, Peugeot 206-Cup winner Nicolas Vouilloz has been excluded. This moves Motorsport Ireland Billy Coleman Award Winner, Shaun Gallagher, into 2nd place.


Irish rally driver, Shaun Gallagher, finished a strong 3rd in this weekends Terre du Diois to improve his position in both the French Peugeot Cup and the French Peugeot Gravel Championship. The Motorsport Ireland Billy Coleman Award Winner is now 3rd in the French Cup and 2nd in the Peugeot Gravel Championship.

POINTINGER WINS INTERNATIONAL RALLYSPRINT
Rest of the World beats Barbados 130 - 120

Austria's Josef Pointinger won Sunday's (June 1) Sunbeach International RallySprint on the Caribbean island of Barbados with a fine display of driving in his World Cup Rally replica Ford Escort. He defeated Neil Barnard, whose Opel Corsa limped home 10 seconds adrift, after an engine mount broke during the final, a disappointing end to what had been an excellent day for the local driver.

Irish rally driver, Shaun Gallagher, battled to a well-deserved 2nd place in the second round of the French Peugeot Gravel Championship, the Terre de Provence, this weekend. Shaun is now lying 2nd in the championship just three points behind the leader.

John Leinster made history to-day, in becoming the first Maiden City Member to win the Zara's Restaurant Benbradagh Hillclimb, at Dungiven outright, in a time of 56.17 seconds, 4 seconds ahead of Morgan.

IRISH RALLY DRIVER FINISHES 4th IN FRANCE Posted: May 9, 2003 6:23 PM


The Rallye Terre de l’Auxxerois was a fourteen-stage gravel rally run over three days. Shaun had to adjust to a totally new system as the French gravel events are run in a different format to those in Ireland or Britian. Each morning the crews drive that days stages in convoy, and are given just one opportunity to make their pace notes.

COLIN BRITTON and Kenny Hull took their A.B. Contracts Nissan Micra to an excellent class victory at the third round of the Northern Ireland Rally Championship on Monday.

While many other competitors fell by the wayside, Colin and Kenny had a faultless drive at the Easter Stages event and the Micra duo emerged victorious by more than three minutes from their nearest class rivals.
