The championship, which was won in its first year by the West Cork crew of Donal O'Donovan and Pat Lordan driving their OKI Sierra, will again be run over four two-day rallies in the south of Ireland. The counting rounds, which run from March to October, will be: There will be some slight changes in the 1999 series with all contestants required to registrar this season. The points scoring will comply with the new RIAC regulations which sees a gap of two points between each of the first four places in the overall placings. Classes will be as per RIAC regulations from class 1 to class 13 plus a Historic rally car class.
