07/11/07 World Champion Phil Mills to be Guest of Honour at ANCRO Bash 2003 World Rally Championship winning co driver Phil Mills will be Guest of Honourat the annual 2007 Hankook MSA Gravel Rally Championship Gala Awards Dinner which this year is at the Paramount Hotel in Daventry (formerly the Daventry International) on Saturday 8th December 2007. The Welshman took a memorable victory sitting alongside Petter Solberg on home soil in Wales Rally GB four years ago to clinch the World Championship for themselves and for Subaru and as well as handing out some of the awards in the ANCRO-organised 2007 Hankook MSA Gravel Rally Championship, he'll be recollecting some of his fondest memories of a career spanning nearly a quarter of a century. A former competitor in the National Championship in the past himself, the 44 year old is delighted to have been invited along to the annual ANCRO bash and is thoroughly looking forward to it: "It will be great to catch up with the old crowd again, it's been a long time since my ‘Mintex’ days!" said Mills after accepting the invitation upon his return from Japan this week. As well as the various awards to be presented in the various 2007 Hankook MSA Gravel Rally Championships, there will also be those of two of the most prestigeous one make championships in the Britain. Philip Morrow, the winner of the Mitsubishi Ralliart Evolution Challenge will be presented with the most sought after prize in British Rallying, a 'works' Mitsubishi contract for 2008 and all the other Challenge awards will be presented, as will those for the associated Mitsubishi Evolution Cup including the winner, Miles Johnston. In addition, the UK Fiesta Sporting Trophy champion, Jonathan Greer, will be presented with a Fiesta ST Road Car and the trophy making it truly a night of Champions and prestigious awards.
